The client is Intuit, an accounting software firm known for their small-business tax toolset, QuickBooks.
The product is Intuit QuickBooks, a well-known lightweight accounting software that helps entrepenuaers and small companies manage every aspect of their books.
The challenge is to write a 120- to 150-word script that explains what QuickBooks can do for a small business, while providing a humorous twist.
The insight is... two problems; the words "humorous" and "taxes" don't often appear in the same sentence; and the world of business owners is too diverse and varied to be represented by a single, clear-cut analogue. Let's solve one problem with the other and abstractly the situation into something so absurd that every entrepreneur can see our penguin and think, "I've bought something like that before..."
