Long answer:
Hi! I'm a Chicago-based creative conceptual copywriter who loves helping people find the strong voice their ideas deserve. I pride myself on crafting short-but-detailed copy that shows care for the viewer and the world it inhabits. I think that billboards are so big and so common that we owe it to ourselves to fill them with nice things, and I don't think a piece of copy ever has to choose between being funny and looking good.
Why am I different? I care about making everything I do absolutely one-of-a-kind, whether that be a piece of copy, an ad, a shirt design, a play, or a week-long scavenger hunt. I pour deep intentionality into every aspect of a piece, striving to ensure every detail is being used to its maximum potential before delivering my work. I don't just look at the numbers; I truly analyze my audience to find an approach that makes both of us happy. I'm constantly looking for new ways to use form; through intentional, researched design and high-effort copy, I think we can make ads that really, actually do care. (It helps if they also don't sound the same as everything else).
To me, the best way to make something real is to work with other humans. If you're another human and you want to work with me, check out my portfolio, and let's talk at connoryokleyatwork@gmail.com!
